Brecon Under 14 - 5 Aberdare Under 14 - 53
The first home fixture for the U14s was disappointing despite passionate
play from the Team.
Similar to last week, Brecon were faced with a superior side and suffered a heavy defeat. Credit must go to Aberdare; they played superb flowing rugby dominating the first half during all passages of play. The first half score line was grim: Brecon 0 - Aberdare 41.
With the threat of ending the game early (the 50 clear points rule), it was agreed to play passive scrumming. With true grit and determination, the Lads dug in and raised their game. Rhys Jones scored a super consolation try and Kieran Elliott, Grant Bragg and James Hosie made noticeable breaks to challenge the Aberdare defence.
The final score was Brecon 5 - Aberdare 53.
