Brecon U10s 21 v Abercynon U10s 26

For the first time in two seasons Brecon U10s suffer a home defeat

Brecon got off to a very bad start conceeding a try from the kick off something many of the Brecon players seemed to struggle to overcome. Abercynon gave Brecon a hard lesson in the contact area with many turn overs and the away team began to dominate the play and started to get their talented backs running well with the ball.

Brecon U 10s are made of stern stuff and would not give in, slowly they started to get ball which the backs used well and managed to get a try through Thomas Richards. Abercynon replied with a try of their own which Brecon cancelled out with a try from Cally James to leave the scores all square at half time.

At last Brecon started to show what a good team they are and took the ball to Abercynon and pushed hard for the all important try. Their dominance was rewarded with a Huw Thomas try putting the home side in front . Sadly Brecon could not hold on, Abercynon getting the all important score just minutes from the end

Conversions were added from Owen Jones (1) and Cally James (2)

Both sides provided a excellent entertaining game, but Brecon coaches agreed we were beaten by a better side on the day. We will have to improve our tackling and our rucking if we are to win our remaining games

Well done to you all for never giving up and working so hard right up to the final whistle
The only game Abercynon have lost this season is against Brecon at home which is some consolation?
