Brecon Mini Rugby Tournament 2009
Under 10 Finals
Pontypridd RFC U10 - 35 V Gwernyfed RFC U10 - 7
This match was a repeat of last year's under 9 final. The quality of the two teams clearly shone through as both sides arrived at the fianl unbeaten to that point in the tournament. The superior size and power of the Pontypridd team was the deciding factor this year as it had been twelve months previously. However, the Gwernyfed team were a joy to watch as they swept all challengers aside on their way to the final.

Andrew Barrell, Kieran Jones, Jamie Coles, Cellan Davies, Jacob Evans,

and Rowan Hopkins. Team Coaches : Carwyn Phillips and Richard Davies.
Referee : Andrew Williams – comments : “A very good game,
played hard by both teams, no quarter given by either side”
“The tournament is very well organised, most efficient, and we are pleased to be included. The final was very tough and intense. Our team won their group and we are delighted that they performed so well and we are proud of them,” Commented the coaches after the game.
